It's National Nutrition Month, and Crisis Control Ministry will hold its 12th Annual “WeeCare! Cereal Drive” from March 1-24, 2017.
Throughout Winston-Salem, Kernersville and Forsyth County, elementary schools, preschools and day care centers will collect cereal to be distributed through the Client Choice Food Pantries at Crisis Control Ministry offices in both Winston-Salem and Kernersville.
“We love this drive every year because it helps stock our shelves, but also because it is such a great way for children to understand helping those who are less fortunate fill an essential need,” said Crisis Control Ministry’s Executive Director, Margaret Elliott. “Letting kids pick their favorite cereals and teaching them that they will get to pass them to other kids and families is a hands-on, tangible lesson.”
